Benjamin Lussier. Wow, what a nice loose style he’s got. This Monhegan (Maine) painting is so fabulous. Whitehead is one of the places we like to head to when we’re on the island. The sound of the surf, the birds, the absolute peace is beyond your imagination (those of you who have been to Monhegan know what I’m talking about). Benjamin captures the very feeling of Monhegan. Nice! Very, very nice!
His water paintings (check them out) have so much life! All of his paintings are stunning!

BIO
Benjamin Lussier is a landscape painter currently based in Southern Maine. Lussier discovered his love for painting at an early age through the influence of his father, who provided instruction in the basics of value, color, and composition throughout childhood and adolescence. A native of New England, Lussier draws on his love of rural landscape for his choice of subject matter and is especially inspired by coastal and maritime imagery.
Lussier shows promising talent very early in his career. He has exhibited in numerous nationally juried exhibitions and plein air events. His paintings have been honored with multiple awards from the Salmagundi Club in New York City. Lussier’s work is available through Grenning Gallery in Sag Harbor, New York; Elizabeth Moss Galleries in Falmouth, Maine; and the Lupine Gallery in Monhegan, Maine.
When he isn’t painting, Lussier continues work on his dissertation as a doctoral candidate in Russian literature at Columbia University.
