Karen Blair, an artist from Virginia with such an eye for creating interesting (and beautiful!) pieces. This painting, First Light, fascinates me. I think it’s the wonderful blues and greens with little peeps of bright color, but it’s also the person in the chair and the person standing nearby (front right). When I look around I see all kinds of interesting things going on. I don’t know the story, but I kind of like it that way. Each time I look at this painting I can come up with another thing or two that I didn’t notice previously. I like paintings that let me tell my own story, they’re intriguing and so interesting!
Karen paints a wide variety of subjects. Many abstracts, landscape abstracts (but not all abstracts), some have a peaceful color palette and others, like this one, are bold. There is a great article about Karen by Sarah Sargent for VirginiaLiving.com back in 2013! Don’t miss it!

Read a bit about Karen, from her website. (I love when people write a brilliant bio – I love to know a bit about the artist as a person – it’s so interesting!):
Catch you back here tomorrow!
