Anne Ireland. Such an amazing artist. Her work is so different and outstanding – Anne clearly has a passion from deep within to create these wonderful paintings.
I love how she can take a scene and simplify it in the most magnificent way. With added colors that are just gorgeous, she makes her paintings come to life! The water in this painting above – Wow! Oh, how I love those trees! It’s all the little WOW’s that make this painting, and truly, all of her paintings – so fabulous! I am a fan!
Cascade is one of Anne’s most recent paintings – I just love this color palette – this painting screams S P R I N G to me! Simplified shapes done in such an interesting way! Beautiful!

My paintings are the result of observation informed by imagination–a place where the iconic is seen in the emotional context of mystery and surprise. There is a powerful energy when sky meets ground. To intensify that connection I strive to create a psychologically-nuanced atmosphere of unexpected color, giving it depth and consequence.
Anne has been blessed with amazing talent – her paintings are stunning. Anne has also gone on to share her story with the Portland Press Herald about her son to help bring the awareness to the ever growing opioid crisis that is happening in this country. The effects are devastating, and heartbreaking, but the more we hear the more informed we can become. Changes can be made, starting with emergency departments changing the course of treatment for many patients offering non-opioid alternatives (I heard about this on The Doctors). Anne is a strong lady, I admire her and her work and wish her the very best. I think you will agree, her paintings are dynamite in the very best possible way!
