“I use colour and shape to examine light and perspective in abstraction. I enjoy taking a familiar subject and creating something new. There is a promise of something more than what the eye first sees. The audience is invited to examine the piece from afar and close up to experience it’s full expression.
I started my professional career as a scientific researcher before turning to the arts. The examination of life at a micro and macroscopic level is apparent in my painting style. I have always found creativity and art in the careers I have chosen. Painting is a continuation of my experience.”
